House Bill 1133 (Chapter 2016-99) signed by the governor and effective March 24 provides that out-of-state businesses are not considered to have established a level of presence that would require a business to register, file, and remit state or local taxes or fees, or be subject to any registration, licensing, or filing requirements, when the out-of-state businesses are conducting operations within the state solely to perform disaster-related work or emergency-related work during a disaster-response period, or in the state pursuant to a mutual aid agreement.
