The Illinois Department of Revenue has begun a new amnesty program, running October 1 through November 15, 2019. All taxes paid to the Illinois Department of Revenue for taxable periods ending after June 30, 2011, and prior to July 1, 2018, are eligible for amnesty with relief from penalties and interest. Unlike prior Illinois programs, taxpayers would be subject to the customary interest and penalties assessed by the Illinois secretary of state if they do not participate in the amnesty program at this time.

At CSC, we value your time and the money you spend on jurisdiction costs to maintain your business’ compliance. That’s why we want to help you file the necessary forms for the amnesty program.

What

Under the program, the liability for penalties and interest will be waived on:

  • Unreported increases to paid-in capitol
  • Annual franchise tax*
  • Any increase of paid-in capital or issued shares pursuant to Section 14.30 or 14.35
  • Initial franchise tax

When

This program runs now through November 15, 2019, so you must act quickly.
