A HERITAGE OF TRUST
In 1899, two Delaware attorneys, Josiah Marvel and Christopher Ward, formed CSC. Their goal was to simplify the way corporations were formed and operated, as well as the way corporations maintained compliance. Through the years, the dependability and value of CSC's services helped establish Delaware as the legal home to thousands of major corporations.
CSC has since expanded its offerings to include an array of enterprise-specific solutions for every stage of the business life cycle in all 50 states and international jurisdictions. CSC has office locations and capabilities in more than 140 jurisdictions across Europe, the Americas, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East. Josiah Marvel and Christopher Ward found CSC.
1968
CSC acquires rival Capital Trust Company.
1990
CSC acquires Corporation Information Services in Tallahassee, Florida, expanding CSC beyond Delaware.
1995-
1998
CSC acquires Prentice Hall Legal & Financial Services, Entity Service Group, LLC, and The Corporation Company.
2000
CSC becomes an accredited domain name registrar through the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.
2003
CSC acquires Lexis-Nexis Document Solutions, supplementing its Uniform Commercial Code business, as well as secured lending and motor vehicle services.
2011
CSC adds tax services through acquisition of MLM Information Services, including Corptax, Inc., and Tax Compliance, Inc., and enters the electronic document recording arena with the acquisition of Ingeo Systems.
2013-
2021
CSC acquires Melbourne IT, IP Mirror, the Koehler Group, NetNames, TCS Group, Firstcorp PTE LTD, and PEF Services, expanding its global reach and service offerings with its Digital Brand Services and Global Financial Markets businesses.
2022
CSC acquires Intertrust Group to become the premiere provider of global business administration and compliance solutions to clients in more than 140 jurisdictions.
