What's your full title and how long have you been in the position?
My full title is Client Partner of Americas, and I’ve officially been in this role since March 2025. I joined CSC in 2023 as a corporate secretary and relationship manager.
We work very closely with Marketing, Sales, and the Client Onboarding Teams to upsell, cross-sell, and close deals. We're responsible for drafting and getting the service agreements finalized and getting contracts in place. We ensure that everything is accounted for in our system so our service teams can provide seamless service for the client.
We look for gaps like whether they need accounting support, a U.S. address, a director or officer, or help obtaining an EIN to open a U.S. bank account. Many also require corporate secretarial support for board meetings or documents like resolutions. By addressing these needs, we create tailored solutions that help clients run their businesses more efficiently and confidently.
How did you advance into this position?
I was entertaining the idea of becoming a strategic account manager, but then my leader actually approached me about becoming a client partner. They told me what they envisioned for the position and I decided to go that route. I liked what I was doing and the people I was working with. I've been part of client partner process from the beginning, and I wanted to see it through as it expands and grows.
What's the most interesting thing about working here and what you do?
There are so many people here from different backgrounds, and I really love and value the collaboration. It's so cool to see different perspectives, different ideas, and different experiences be able to come together and make something really great.
Everyone has the same goal. We all want to service our clients, and we want CSC's reputation to be the best that it can be. We have a great environment where everyone's comfortable and happy to show up. I love coming to the office. Being in the office offers great advantages, especially for collaboration. It’s easy and so valuable to connect with colleagues, share ideas, and solve challenges quickly. Our workspace is designed for flexibility, with areas for team discussions and quiet spots for focused work, making it a productive and engaging environment.
It’s also really cool also to help these companies establish themselves in the Americas. We’re trusted to help clients make such a big move. A lot of non-U.S. clients don’t really know what to do to set up in the Americas and they really rely heavily on us. I have a teaching background, and I also get to use those soft skills, which is fun.
When you tell people about your job, what's something that surprises them?
Most people don't even realize that this is a business, being the business behind business. And before coming here, I didn't even realize all the things that go into setting up a company.
We can help entities from formation through dissolution. We do corporate secretarial accounting, cash management, directorship services, get a business address, and open bank accounts. We truly are the business behind the business, soup to nuts.
What else do you like about the culture here?
I really like the acknowledgments and recognition people receive here. We can nominate our colleagues for their fierce client spirit, and they get recognized for going above and beyond for their clients. The work-life balance is excellent. My leader is super flexible, so I can step out to go to a doctor’s appointment or run a quick errand at lunch. It’s just me and one other person on my team, and we work really well together and can support each other.
What advice would you give to somebody considering a job at CSC?
Be open-minded and be a sponge and absorb all the information you can. Listen in on conversations because every bit of information that you get more than likely could affect your line of business at some point. Say yes when you can, especially as growth opportunities come your way.
Networking is very important and starts with just being a genuine, nice person. Say hello to everyone in the halls. And ask for help if you need it. There's plenty of people here willing to help and rooting for your success.
