What’s your full title and how long have you been in your current position?
I’m an executive vice president with our Corporate and Legal Solutions business. I’ve had this position for a year, and I’ve been with the company for almost 11 years.
I’m the local lead of the British Virgin Islands office, so I’m in charge of the day-to- day operation, which involves staff issues and operational issues. I’m also in charge of onboarding and approving new clients that come in. Most of my experience is as an accountant. I came in as the financial controller here in 2015 and held that role up until last year, when I moved to the operational role.
What do you like best about the culture at CSC?
You feel like you’re supported. You have a sense that you’re part of a global company where you can draw on resources and expertise from different areas. If you need advice or guidance, you can reach out to someone in Delaware or Amsterdam or anywhere else—they’re happy to assist you. When that happens, you feel more part of a global organization.
What do you like best about your role?
It’s an important role and I make important decisions daily. I feel like I contribute and what I do adds value. It’s rewarding when you design and implement a certain structure that the company can build on and have ongoing success with.
What’s the working environment like?
There are 16 of us in this office, and we all look out for each other. We try to get together from time to time for small social events like potluck dinners, where each person contributes. It’s a pretty tight-knit group.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to join CSC?
You need a really positive attitude because you’ll be joining a solid company with a solid future that’s been around for more than 125 years. A company that’s been around that long is doing something right.
