My journey began at the service desk where I was exposed to technology operations. That hands-on experience provided a strong foundation and helped me understand the real-world impact of every change, incident, and process. I became interested in the “why” behind those changes, which led me to transition into change management. I’m motivated by the opportunity to manage risk, bring structure to processes, and ensure that any technology changes are implemented smoothly and responsibly.
How do you continually develop your skills and advance your career in the tech field?
I believe in learning through experience. When I transitioned to change management, I tried to understand every aspect—documentation, risk evaluation, coordination with different teams, and audit compliance. I actively take part in trainings, attend knowledge-sharing sessions, and learn from freeze planning and managing Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings. I also try to improve existing processes and contribute to team initiatives, which has allowed me to grow and gain visibility.
What advice would you give to other women aspiring to pursue a career in technology?
Start with what you have and don’t hesitate to grow into new roles. Technology offers so many paths, and you don’t have to start with a technical degree to succeed. Build strong fundamentals, ask questions, and stay curious. Your ability to problem-solve, take initiative, and communicate clearly matters just as much as your technical knowledge. Support each other, find mentors, and believe in your ability to lead change. There's space for you, and your contributions can shape the way technology evolves.
