FAQs

  • Why do entities tend to form in Delaware?

Delaware has the most advanced and flexible business formation statue in the nation. The Delaware Court of Chancery is recognized as the nation’s preeminent forum for settling business disputes—in fact, business disputes are the court’s sole focus. And unlike most government agencies, the Delaware Division of Corporations strives to be business-friendly. Learn more about Delaware filings.

  • What are the main documents and paperwork I must complete when forming an entity?

The requirements for entity formation vary by state and also by entity type. For example, in most states, you have to file Articles of Organization to form a Limited Liability Company, but if you’re forming a Corporation you have to file Articles of Incorporation.
